September 2024 Reading Club: Leukemia and Lymphoma

In September, in honor of Blood Cancer Awareness Month, NNLM Reading Club brings awareness to Leukemia and Lymphoma.

Leukemia is a broad term for cancers of the blood cells originating in the bone marrow. The type of leukemia depends on the type of blood cell that becomes cancer and whether it grows quickly or slowly. Lymphoma is a broad term for cancer that begins in cells of the lymph system. The two main types are Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).

This month is an opportunity to read three personal stories of persons who faced leukemia. Discuss their heartfelt journey while discovering information about promising research and treatments.

We are featuring three new books this month:
