Dana Abbey, one of our Region 4 Engagement Specialists, attended a PubMed session and this is what she learned.
The PubMed development team works diligently to make useful enhancements to the PubMed interface. There are three that some of our eagle eye PubMed users might have noticed, but if not, here they are:
#1 Vulnerability Disclosure Policy. Mandated by HHS, a vulnerability disclosure policy has been added at the very, very bottom of all HHS sites. This includes all the NCBI sites.
Link to the full text of the policy: https://www.hhs.gov/vulnerability-disclosure-policy/index.html
#2 Share Button: In the Abstract View, clicking “share” will now bring up a pop-up box instead of opening a new browser tab.
#3 Navigation Buttons and Zero Results: if your search returns zero results, the SAVE, EMAIL, and SENT TO functions do not appear (see screen grab #2).
Stay current with changes and updates to the many NLM resources, including PubMed, with the NLM Technical Bulletin.
