She will be previewing her upcoming six-week online course on generative AI for health science librarians. Each course module will be introduced, with samples from the video lectures. Topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding the technology behind generative AI<\/li>\n<li>Prompting for large language models<\/li>\n<li>Multimodal features for educational use<\/li>\n<li>Capabilities of multimedia generation (images, video, music, speech)<\/li>\n<li>Staying current current and avoiding the hype about AI<\/li>\n<li>Applications of generative AI in healthcare and medicine including ethical issues such as bias, copyright, and privacy protection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to previewing course content, questions will be answered about formats, assignments, readings, and suggested time needed per week to complete the course.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nnlm.gov\/r4november2024\">Registration is required<\/a> to attend.
