If you are passionate about contributing to the future of engagement\/outreach and technology improvement projects, this is your opportunity to get involved \u2014 and you don&#8217;t need to be part of Region 4 or have prior experience as a reviewer.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What\u2019s the Opportunity?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We are currently accepting applications for funding to support engagement\/outreach and technology improvement projects. The application period closes on November 15, 2024, at 5:00 pm MT. We need your help to evaluate these applications and ensure that the most impactful projects are selected. For more information about these awards, visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nnlm.gov\/r4funds\">funding page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What Will You Be Doing as a Reviewer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As a reviewer, you\u2019ll evaluate a selection of applications in a confidential and anonymous process. Each application is assigned to 2-3 reviewers, and your role will involve reading through the applications and providing feedback based on a set of predetermined criteria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time Commitment:<\/strong> Approximately 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Review Timeline:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>November 25, 2024:<\/strong> You\u2019ll receive a packet with the application materials to review.<\/li>\n<li><strong>December 20, 2024:<\/strong> Complete your review(s) by this date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Why Should You Consider Being a Reviewer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Professional Experience:<\/strong> You will receive a letter from the director of the NNLM Region 4 and National Training Office acknowledging your participation as a grant reviewer for your CV or resume, and potentially for MLA AHIP credit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Possible MLA AHIP Credit:<\/strong> Depending on your professional affiliations, you may be eligible for MLA AHIP credit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flexible &amp; Impactful:<\/strong> Reviewers are anonymous, and you\u2019ll be part of a collaborative process to support impactful regional projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Important Considerations:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Conflict of Interest:<\/strong> If you or anyone at your institution is applying for Year 5 funding (performance period May 2025 \u2013 April 2026), you won\u2019t be eligible to serve as a reviewer this year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>How to Get Involved:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To confirm your interest in reviewing applications, please email <strong>Samantha Nunn<\/strong> at <a href=\"mailto:sam.nunn@utah.edu\"><strong>sam.nunn@utah.edu<\/strong><\/a> by <strong>Monday, November 18, 2024<\/strong>.
