We will examine popular readability tools including exploring the advantages and limitations of different measurements. We will also discuss information assessments of health literacy. This webinar is eligible for 1 hour of MLA continuing education credit, Consumer Health Information Specialization (CHIS), Level 1 , Consumer Health Information Specialization (CHIS), Level 2.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Guest speakers:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Emily Vardell<\/strong> is an Associate Professor at Emporia State University\u2019s School of Library and Information Management. She teaches library science and health sciences librarianship, with a focus on health literacy and improving access to health information. Her recent publications address health insurance literacy, infertility information practices, and library science education best practices and trends.\u00a0Emily is co-editor of\u00a0<i>Health Literacy and Libraries\u00a0<\/i>is active in the Medical Library Association serving in various leadership roles.
