Members Begin New Outreach Projects

Posted by on January 3rd, 2007 Posted in: Funding, News From NNLM PNR

Digital library initiatives for public health workers, multi-cultural information on immunizations, and health literacy activities utilizing Rx Information prescriptions are some of the features of new outreach projects in the Pacific Northwest. Each project will also include training and community development in settings with limited health information expertise. The RML received many excellent proposals in response to Outreach to Underserved Health Professionals and Community Outreach RFPs, issued last summer. We are happy to announce the following three projects selected for funding that will begin in January 2007:

Information Rx for Cascade County
Great Falls Public Library
Great Falls, MT
Project Manager: Susie McIntyre

Expanding Digital Library Services to Public Health Professionals in Western Washington
Public Health Seattle & King County
Seattle, WA
Project Manager: Ann Madhavan

Web-Based Immunization Information Resource Library
Community Health Partners/Healthy Roads Media
Livingston, MT
Project Manager: Mary Alice Gillispie
