Technology is continuing to improve, and more and more people are looking online for health information, managing care, and trusted advice. Despite the increasing use, there is a digital divide for many individuals that greatly impact their ability to find and access trusted quality health information. Wisconsin Health Literacy developed a digital health literacy program, Health Online: Finding Information You Can Trust, to focus on improving the digital divide. Learn about digital literacy strategies to make digital health resources user friendly for all patrons and ways to help them access reliable health information online.

Presenter: Caitlyn Mowatt
Caitlyn Mowatt, BS, is the Health Communications Specialist at Wisconsin Health Literacy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and resides in the Madison area with her family. She has over 8 years of experience in non-profit organizations, including work in health literacy, health care communications and community relations. She is known for expertise in health literacy, having initiated a county health literacy collaborative and managing multiple grant funded projects throughout the state of Wisconsin on topics such as, safe opioid use, health insurance, dementia care, and digital health literacy.
