Effective communication with our members is at the heart of delivering impactful programming and resources. At NNLM Region 5, we understand the importance of keeping our members informed and engaged.

To achieve this, we have implemented several communication channels designed to share information and foster interaction.

Weekly Digest

Our weekly digest is a cornerstone of our communication strategy. It provides a comprehensive summary of the latest news, updates, and upcoming events in the field of health information access and outreach. This digest ensures that our members are always in the loop, receiving timely and relevant information directly in their inboxes.

Social Media

In addition to the weekly digest, we regularly post to our social media accounts. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn allow us to reach a broader audience and engage with our members in real time. We share updates, highlight member achievements, and promote upcoming events through these channels. Social media also offers a space for members to interact with us and each other, fostering a sense of community.

Digital Suggestion Box

Recognizing the need for more direct communication, we recently launched a digital suggestion box. This tool provides an easy and convenient way for members to share their thoughts, suggestions, and feedback with us. Whether it’s an idea for a new program, feedback on existing resources, or general comments, the digital suggestion box is always open. This initiative reflects our commitment to listening to our members and continuously improving our offerings based on their input.

Introducing…Virtual Town Halls

To further enhance our communication efforts, we are excited to announce the launch of our virtual Town Halls! Starting next month, these Town Halls will be held quarterly, providing an additional channel for direct interaction between NNLM Region 5 and our members.

The virtual Town Halls will serve multiple purposes:

  • Sharing NNLM Projects and Highlights: We will use this platform to present updates on ongoing projects, share success stories, and highlight upcoming initiatives. This will give members a clear understanding of our work and its impact.
  • Member Feedback and Ideas: These sessions will be an open forum for members to voice their opinions, share ideas, and provide feedback. We believe that the best ideas often come from our community, and we are eager to hear from you.
  • Community Building: We aim to strengthen our community by bringing members together in a virtual space. These Town Halls will facilitate networking and collaboration among members, fostering a supportive and engaged network.

Our first virtual Town Hall will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 3:00 PM PST. Registration is open, and we hope to see you there!
