No, not a new online dating service! The NN/LM PNR is once again accepting applications for Express Outreach Awards, and relationships (collaborations) are strongly encouraged as an effective means to increasing and improving use of health information.
Projects should be based on a thorough understanding of the needs and resources of a geographic area or underserved groups of health professionals and/or consumers. Recently funded projects have included training and resource development for school health personnel, a radio-based health initiative for Spanish speakers, training for health and social service personnel in rural Eastern Oregon, and more! A complete list of funded projects, descriptions, and Final Reports of completed projects are on the NN/LM PNR site. All network members in the Pacific Northwest Region are eligible to apply for Express Outreach Awards. Maximum funding for each project is $12,000. Applications must be submitted as an email attachment by Friday, November 14, 2008. Read the full announcement and link to application materials here.
