Are you looking for opportunities to expand your professional skills and knowledge in health information and research?

The Network of the National Library of Medicine Region 5 is funding 5 professional development awards of up to $2,000 each (pending budget availability). Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis, while funds are available. Funding is given to the institution and is cost-reimbursed.

Consider applying for a professional development award if you work for a NNLM Region 5 member institution, and are

  • Planning to attend a conference or training where health information or research is a motivation for attending
  • Organizing a workshop, training, or guest speaker for your department or professional organization
  • Looking to develop leadership skills essential in library and health-related professions

Other creative ideas are welcome. Funded professional development must align with NNLM’s mission to improve access to health information and medical research. Contact Emily Hamstra (nnlm@uw.edu) with questions.

Apply online.
