Links from Google and Others to PubMed Citations

Posted by on March 18th, 2005 Posted in: News from NLM

Links to PubMed citations may appear in search results from commercial search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. If you follow one of these links to the PubMed citation, you will now see an added red “Note” on the PubMed screen indicating how many citations a direct PubMed search on the topic would yield. There is also a link to this full retrieval. Read more about this in the NLM Technical Bulletin at
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/ma05/ma05_google.html.
