Celebrating National Medical Librarians Month!

Posted by on October 1st, 2009 Posted in: News From NNLM PNR

Today is October 1st … which means we’re in  National Medical Librarians Month 2009!

During the month, please visit NLM’s Web pages highlighting medical library projects across the NN/LM regions.

Congratulations to 10  (yes, ten!)  PNR librarians featured by NLM:

Todd Hannon and Emily Ford for Oregon Health Go Local

Jane Saxton and Susan Banks for Mobile Library Outreach

And the following librarians who participated in the Podcasting for Advocacy class, taught by Alison Aldrich and Maryanne Blake in the RML.  These students created podcasts on topics related to advocacy or promotion of their library services:

Anna Heinrich (Tuality Health Sciences Library) – http://heinrichhousehold.podbean.com/
Loree Hyde (Oregon Health and Science University Library) – http://loreehyde.podbean.com/
Rose Jackson and Claudia Weston (Portland State University Library) – http://psulibrary.podbean.com/2009/07/02/portland-state-reference/
Val Lawrence (University of Washington Health Sciences Library) – http://healwa.podbean.com
Laura Zeigen (Oregon Health and Science University Library) – http://ohsulibrary.podbean.com

All of these projects are  wonderful examples that illustrate PNR medical librarians’ impact in your organizations and communities.

Congratulations!
