Chris Shaffer and the Oregon Health & Science University Library are part of a national consortium recently awarded NIH funding to implement a Federated National Informatics Network.\u00a0 This web-based initiative, called the eagle-i Consortium,\u00a0 will be developed by OHSU and 8 other universities–led by Harvard Medical School.\u00a0 Funding is from the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), part of the NIH.<\/p>\n
As one of 2 major awards made NCRR, Director Barbara Alving, M.D. states: “The infrastructure created and implemented through these awards has the potential to greatly facilitate the pace of biomedical research nationwide.”<\/p>\n
