Make sure to consider the costs associated with disasters and save for an emergency. Also, know how to take practical safety steps like shutting off water and gas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ready.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ready.gov<\/a> has provided\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ready.gov\/september\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weekly themes<\/a>\u00a0throughout the month of September including the National Day of Action on September 15.
