The National Library of Medicine is offering an opportunity to host a traveling exhibit where you can plan a program related to the topic and highlight local resources. It\u2019s also a great chance to work together with other organizations in your community.<\/p>\n<p>Region 5 has had several libraries and organizations hosting. We are happy post your hosting events in our <a href=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_5\/weekly-digest-platform-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Weekly Digest<\/a> and social media and welcome a guest blog post about your experience hosting a traveling exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>See the details in the announcement below.<\/p>\n<p>The Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) is pleased to announce a new \u201cCall for Requests\u201d for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nlm.nih.gov\/hmd\/get-involved\/hostexhibitions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NLM Traveling Exhibitions<\/a>\u00a0 is now open today, Tuesday, August 13! Please submit your requests online using the <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=eHW3FHOX1UKFByUcotwrBuu5IGt2PjdGrD3y6WfZFCZUNVFOUlQ1QzE3T1RaVjBaTFJLVEU4NjZOQS4u&amp;origin=lprLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NLM Traveling Exhibition Request form<\/a> by 11:00 a.m. (PT) on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The NLM online form enables you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select from six available exhibition titles with booking dates from January 2025 through June 2026.,<\/li>\n<li>Select up to three exhibitions and booking date preferences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please submit only one form per institution.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure your institution can comply with the host venue requirements, carefully review the &#8220;Host Venue Responsibilities&#8221; on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nnlm.gov\/initiatives\/traveling-exhibitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NNLM Traveling Exhibitions webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please note hosting venues are responsible for shipping costs to the next exhibition venue. Shipping costs range from $200 to $1,000. We recommend that you estimate costs to the farthest location available (overestimating costs) because the subsequent host venue site will not yet be known at the time of your request. Host sites will be informed of the next venue as the schedule is finalized. However, this next venue is always subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>The following traveling exhibition titles are now available for requests.
