Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis, while funds are available. Funding is given to the institution and is cost-reimbursed.<\/p>\n<p>Consider applying for a professional development award if you work for a NNLM Region 5 member institution, and are<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Planning to attend a conference or training where health information or research is a motivation for attending<\/li>\n<li>Organizing a workshop, training, or guest speaker for your department or professional organization<\/li>\n<li>Looking to develop leadership skills essential in library and health-related professions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other creative ideas are welcome. Funded professional development must align with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nnlm.gov\/about\">NNLM\u2019s mission<\/a> to improve access to health information and medical research.
