Wednesday, April 27, 2011<\/strong> 8:30am to 5pm – PubMed\u00ae<\/p>\n Thursday, April 28, 2011<\/strong> 8:30am to Noon – NLM Gateway and Clinical Trials Service<\/p>\n To register for one or both of these classes, please go to this link: http:\/\/nnlm.gov\/ntcc\/classes\/register.html<\/p>\n Fill out the personal info, and from the pull-down menus, select April 27, 2011, or April 28, 2011, for the appropriate class.\u00a0 Unless you can travel elsewhere, ignore the \u201csecond choice\u201d pull-down.<\/p>\n If the class is full, please get in touch with Bob Pringle at rpringle@wsu.edu about a waiting list.\u00a0 Further details about the classes are:<\/p>\n PubMed\u00ae<\/a>:<\/strong> a full-day class designed to improve use of PubMed\u00ae, including MEDLINE citations; Medical Subject Headings (MeSH\u00ae), and their importance to searchers; expert searching. For health professional students, faculty, researchers, practitioners – nurses, pharmacists, physicians, & more.<\/p>\n NLM Gateway<\/a> & ClinicalTrials.gov<\/a>:<\/strong> a half-day class to teach use of the NLM Gateway. Also discusses and demonstrates ClinicalTrials.gov.<\/p>\n NLM Gateway<\/em>: search simultaneously in multiple NLM retrieval systems with a single search interface. Includes full text biomedical books, toxicology, genetics, images, health services research projects, and more.<\/p>\n ClinicalTrials.gov:<\/em> a registry of federally and privately supported clinical trials in the U.S. and around the world.
