All it takes is a shared My NCBI account and a few minutes of your time.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Before you can do this, your library will have to register for a My NCBI account that will be the &#8220;shared&#8221; account. We recommend using your library&#8217;s LinkOut user name as the User Name for this account.<\/p>\n<p>The new name on the filter tab will appear within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Instructions to set up the library filter tab:<\/p>\n<p>1. Sign in to My NCBI using the shared account.<\/p>\n<p>2. Select <strong>Filters<\/strong> in the blue side bar menu.<\/p>\n<p>3. On the <strong>Filter Selection<\/strong> page, there is a checkbox labeled <strong>Institutions &#8211; share My NCBI settings<\/strong>. Click the checkbox.<\/p>\n<p>4. Select <strong>PubMed<\/strong> from the list of databases.<\/p>\n<p>5. On the page Filter Selection: grouping search results, select <strong>Browse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>6. Select <strong>LinkOut<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>7. Under the Sub-Categories of Linkout, select <strong>Libraries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>8. On this page under <strong>Filters in Category Libraries<\/strong>, scroll to find your library and click on it.<\/p>\n<p>9. Under <strong>Selections<\/strong>, check both boxes (1. to add a result tab and 2. to add a link icon).<\/p>\n<p>10. Sign out of My NCBI.<\/p>\n<p>11. In order to see the new tab in search results, users must enter PubMed through the following URL:<br \/>\nhttp:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/entrez\/query.fcgi?<strong>myncbishare=[account username]<\/strong><br \/>\n(bolding is not necessary)<br \/>\n<em><br \/>\n*If you currently have bookmarks to PubMed, you will need to replace them with the new URL.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Personalize the filter tab with your library&#8217;s name:<\/strong> log into the LinkOut <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/projects\/linkout\/doc\/liblinkout.html\">Library Submission Utility<\/a>. Under Library Information, select <strong>Edit Identity<\/strong>.
