The Program for Readability In Science &amp; Medicine (PRISM) is a successful plain language initiative launched at Group Health Research Institute (GHRI) in 2005. Using PRISM tools and training, GHRI has dramatically improved the quality and readability of its research consent forms and other print materials. PRISM&#8217;s free tools and training resources may help other medical and public health professionals do the same.<\/p>\n<p>Come join us on <strong>Wednesday, February 20, 2013<\/strong> at 1pm Pacific time (Noon Alaska, 2pm Mountain) during our free monthly webcast at http:\/\/webmeeting.nih.gov\/rendezvous to learn more about\u00a0 effective strategies for encouraging health professionals to use plain language from Jessica Ridpath, Research Communications Consultant for PRISM.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>New for 2013<\/strong>: This webcast is eligible for 1 hour of Medical Library Association continuing education (MLA CE)\u00a0 for attending the webcast and completing a brief evaluation form (provided during the webcast).
