What do searching for drugs and chemicals in PubMed\u00ae, finding information about diseases using indexing rules, and creating a one hour PubMed class using the “rapid design” technique have in common? \u00a0These are all topics covered but the class “PubMed for Trainers,” where you will have an opportunity to gain new skills, brush up on existing PubMed Skills, and collaborate with colleagues to help create effective training strategies.<\/p>\n
Join the National Library of Medicine Training Center (NTC) for the\u00a0free\u00a0<\/strong>hybrid class called PubMed for Trainers (PMT). The class is held in 4 sessions; 3 online and 1 in person session (attendance in all is expected).<\/p>\n The class runs from March 6 – 27, 2014. \u00a0The last of the four sessions will be in-person at the University of Washington in Seattle on Thursday, March 27th.\u00a0<\/strong>Upon completion, the class is eligible for\u00a015 MLA CE contact hours.<\/strong> The class is offered at no cost.<\/p>\n This hands-on course consists of 8 presentations created by the National Library of Medicine, live demonstrations,hands-on exercises, group work and discussions, and networking opportunities over the course of four sessions. \u00a0You can expect an additional 2-3 hours of independent homework.<\/p>\n The dates and times for the four class sessions are:<\/p>\n For more details and to register, visit: http:\/\/nnlm.gov\/ntcc\/classes\/class_details.html?class_id=359<\/p>\n Questions?
