{"id":9983,"date":"2014-04-11T12:34:42","date_gmt":"2014-04-11T19:34:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nnlm.gov\/pnr\/dragonfly\/?p=9983"},"modified":"2026-02-03T16:49:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T16:49:06","slug":"april-16-rml-rendezvous-on-clinicaltrials-gov","status":"archive","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_5\/april-16-rml-rendezvous-on-clinicaltrials-gov\/","title":{"rendered":"April 16 RML Rendezvous on ClinicalTrials.gov"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b>ClinicalTrials.gov\u00a0<\/b>presented by\u00a0Gail Kouame, NN\/LM PNR&#8217;s Public Health Outreach Coordinator\u00a0at the\u00a0University of Washington Health Sciences Library<\/div>\n<p>April 16, 2014 at 1 PM Pacific (noon Alaska 2 PM Mountain)<\/p>\n<p>Gail Kouame, NN\/LM PNR&#8217;s Public Health Outreach Coordinator will provide an overview of ClinicalTrials.gov and how librarians can use the site to support clinicians, researchers and consumers.\u00a0\u00a0She will also briefly describe the various types and phases of clinical trials and the background and current status of trial registration and reporting.\u00a0ClinicalTrials.gov was launched in 2000 by the National Library of Medicine.\u00a0\u00a0In 2008, as a result of Section 801 of the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act of 2007, ClinicalTrials.gov was expanded to include basic results reporting, including adverse effects.\u00a0\u00a0Due to reporting bias, results reported in ClinicalTrials.gov may not be published anywhere else.\u00a0 If you haven&#8217;t used or visited ClinicalTrials.gov recently, here&#8217;s an opportunity to get up-to-date on this highly valuable resource.<\/p>\n<p>To attend go to\u00a0http:\/\/webmeeting.nih.gov\/rendezvous\u00a0and login as a Guest, using your own name. \u00a0<!--more-->Once logged into the web meeting, a pop-up box allows you to put in your phone number and the program will call you.
