The All of Us <\/em>Research Program, a nationwide research initiative from the National Institutes of Health, launched nationally on May 6, 2018! The program\u2019s goal is to speed up health research breakthroughs by\u00a0asking one million people to share health information. In the future, researchers can use this to conduct thousands of health studies.<\/p>\n Several All of Us <\/em>partners, <\/em>including the National Library of Medicine, hosted launch parties at seven different cities across the United States and the staff from the NNLM All of Us<\/em> National\u00a0<\/span>Program exhibited at each location! The National Library of Medicine cosponsored a family friendly community health literacy event in Kansas City, Missouri at Union Station in collaboration with the Delta Research and Educational Foundation. Learn more about the National Launch in Kansas City here.\u00a0<\/span> Each location held community education fairs, hosted local speakers and activities and local artists created one of a kind community art pieces. National speakers, including Francis Collins, Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eric Dishman, Director of All of Us,<\/em> and Dara Richardson-Heron, Chief Engagement Officer of All of Us<\/em>, were broadcast live at each location and online. The goal of the launch was to educate, raise awareness, evoke trust, and encourage participation in the research program.
