To extend our regional reach, we would like representation from all seven of our states in this exciting new program. Michigan Network members, we\u2019d love to receive an application by <strong>09 September 2021<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is POP?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe purpose of the NNLM Region 6 Partner Outreach Program 2021-2026 is to support health equity by providing health information access throughout Region 6 by the formation and practice of the Partner Outreach Program (POP). POP objectives include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide health information resources and training to underserved and underrepresented groups, including tribal communities and institutions, that are priority populations of the National Library of Medicine (NLM).<\/li>\n<li>Act as ambassadors for NNLM services and resources, communicating health information needs to the RML, and work with the RML in remediation of those needs, whether through direct training or utilizing a train-the-trainer model.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a field force in their state to identify potential partners for outreach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ambassador organizations will receive remuneration, training, and direction from the Region 6 office according to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), a sample of which is available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/gmr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2021\/07\/MOU_final2021-2026_sample.pdf\">online<\/a>.
