{"id":14283,"date":"2022-01-28T08:42:36","date_gmt":"2022-01-28T14:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_6\/?p=14283"},"modified":"2022-01-28T08:42:36","modified_gmt":"2022-01-28T14:42:36","slug":"funding-announcement-help-spread-trustworthy-health-information-in-your-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_6\/2022\/01\/funding-announcement-help-spread-trustworthy-health-information-in-your-community\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding Announcement: Help Spread Trustworthy Health Information in Your Community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Region 6 is pleased to announce new funding opportunities for Year 2 of our cooperative agreement with the National Library of Medicine (NLM).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/funding\/rfa\/health-information-outreach-award-0\"><strong>Health Information Outreach Award<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is to improve health literacy and increase health equity through engagement and training for health information.<\/p>\n<p>The award can be used to support:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instructional design and training of evidence-based health resources and information for workforce development<\/li>\n<li>Public or consumer outreach and engagement for awareness, evaluation, use, and understanding of credible health information including\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/medlineplus.gov\/\">MedlinePlus<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pubmed.gov\/\">PubMed<\/a>\u00a0but not limited to the National Institutes of Health and the National Library of Medicine resources<\/li>\n<li>Online health information access and digital literacy skills training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Two additional awards include the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/funding\/rfa\/research-and-data-outreach-award\"><strong>Research and Data Outreach Award<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/funding\/rfa\/student-development-award\"><strong>Student Development Award<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<strong>Period of performance<\/strong> for these awards is May 1, 2022 &#8211; April 30, 2023. <strong>Deadline to submit\u00a0<\/strong>is March 11, 2022.
