Each project was awarded $10,000 &#8211; $15,000 to fund a project that will help progress the mission of NNLM (<em>to provide U.S. researchers, health professionals, public health workforce, educators, and the public with equal access to biomedical and health information resources and data<\/em>) in their community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apple Of His Eye Inc.<\/strong> <strong>\u2013 Ohio <\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cPromotion and Enhanced Engagement of Mental Health Education Programming Offered by NAMI, Southwest Ohio\u201d<br \/>\nApple of His Eye Inc. will partner with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southwest Ohio for community-based workshops to educate individuals and families with quality mental health information and resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Effingham Public Library \u2013 Illinois<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cEquitable Access to Telehealth\u201d<br \/>\nThe\u00a0Effingham Public Library will invest in equipment to support telehealth appointments at the library as well as the case management services to connect the community members with vital primary and mental health care access.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Northern Illinois University School of Nursing \u2013 Illinois <\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cSmart Tablet Education for Health Living\u201d<br \/>\nPrimary Investigator, Dr. Anitha Saravanan, will direct this project to engage older adults with technology and assist them with finding quality health information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Respond Now<\/strong> <strong>\u2013 Illinois <\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cConnect Now\u201d<br \/>\nThis project will create a digital literacy program and lab housed within\u00a0Respond\u00a0Now, a South Suburban Cook County homeless service provider.
