Region 7 invites hospital librarians to debrief the Medical Library Annual Meeting on Friday, June 6 at 12noon ET. Hospital librarians are encouraged to share their experiences as in-person or virtual attendees. Library staff who did not attend MLA in Pittsburg are welcome to come hear about the conference.

We are looking through this year’s sessions to identify topics that are applicable for solo hospital librarians.

Here is a sample of sessions that we will discuss:

  • Improving Patient Care While Telling Your Story
  • MyChart: Leveraging Libraries as Partners in Patient Portal Access
  • Building and Maintaining an Emergency Print Reference Collection in a Hospital Library
  • Restoring History: Launching a Collaborative Adopt-a-Book Program

And other sessions about outreach to nursing and pharmacy staff.

Objectives:

  • Opportunity to exchange knowledge for career development.
  • Discuss issues pertaining to information management skills.

The session will be recorded. This meeting does not qualify for MLA CE.

We hope you will join us! Please register at this link.
