This year’s Love Data Week will take place from February 9th to February 13th, 2026.
Love Data Week began in 2016 and has since grown into an international event celebrating data across numerous institutions and organizations. This annual celebration has led to many educational opportunities involving data over the years and promotes research data management strategies. There are learning opportunities for everyone, for all skill levels, from institutions throughout the United States. Some of the classes offered include data visualization, data cleanup, introduction to coding, data career panels, and so much more.
The theme this year is “Where’s the Data?” This theme encourages people to consider the lifecycle of data, from the time it is collected to when it is stored and preserved.
During International Love Data Week, the National Center for Data Services will be hosting a class titled “Data for Everyone: An Introduction to Spreadsheets” on February 12th, at 3 pm EST. There are still seats available for this class. After completing this class, participants will be able to “define common terms related to health data, prepare a spreadsheet for creating a simple data visualization, and identify further learning opportunities for working with data.” This is a great opportunity to jumpstart your interest in data services or to refresh your memory on the tools you can use when working on spreadsheets. You can register to attend this event here.
The NNLM also has a collection of educational materials from past Love Data Week events. You can find that playlist here.
