{"id":12164,"date":"2016-10-07T10:41:05","date_gmt":"2016-10-07T14:41:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/ner\/blog\/?p=12164"},"modified":"2016-10-07T10:41:05","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T14:41:05","slug":"mla-funds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_7\/2016\/10\/07\/mla-funds\/","title":{"rendered":"MLA Funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2017 EBSCO\/MLA Annual Grant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In order to enable more librarians to attend Medical Library Association (MLA) annual meetings, EBSCO Information Services has generously donated money to the MLA Scholarship Endowment to provide stipends up to $1,000.00 each to four (4) librarians for travel and conference-related expenses, to be known as the EBSCO\/MLA Annual Meeting Grant. If you need funding to attend the annual meeting, please consider applying.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must be a member of MLA.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must be currently employed as a medical librarian.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must have between two and five years experience as a health sciences librarian at the time of the annual meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must complete an application form including a 200-word statement answering the question, &#8220;What do you expect to gain professionally and\/or personally by attending the MLA annual meeting?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>No more than one awardee from any given institution will be awarded the grant in a single year.<\/li>\n<li>Visit MLANET &#8211; Grants, Scholarships, and Fellowships \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mlanet.org\/p\/cm\/ld\/fid=299\">EBSCO\/MLA Annual Meeting Grant\u00a0<\/a>for details and the application form.<\/li>\n<li>Applications are due to MLA by Monday,\u00a0<strong>December 1, 2016<\/strong>.
