Does your library have a Graphic Medicine collection, but you want ideas of how to expand and create outreach around these resources? Is your organization interested in creating Graphic Medicine to address a health need in your community?<\/p>\n<p>NNLM-NER is excited to announce the New England Graphic Medicine ComicCon taking place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umassmed.edu\/\">University of Massachusetts Medical School<\/a> (55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, Massachusetts 01655) on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>For librarians and information specialists of all kinds, health education and outreach professionals, creators and others working with graphic medicine, this event is designed to provide you with concrete strategies to incorporate and expand the use of graphic medicine in your libraries, community organizations, and general health education outreach efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Finishing touches are being put on the schedule, but here\u2019s a preview:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8:30-9:00am-Registration and Coffee<\/li>\n<li>9:00-10:30am-Welcome and Keynote by Vermont\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rachellivesherenow.com\/\">Rachel Lindsay, author of R<sub>X<\/sub><\/a><\/li>\n<li>10:45-noon-Breakout sessions where attendees can choose to learn about: making science comics (<a href=\"https:\/\/makinaro.myportfolio.com\/comics\">Maki Naro<\/a>),\u00a0collections management (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.countway.harvard.edu\/matthew-noe\">Matthew Noe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.darienlibrary.org\/librarians\">Brittany Netherton<\/a>).\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Noon-1:30pm-Lunch (provided) and Networking<\/li>\n<li>1:30-2:45pm-Breakout sessions: information on planning graphic medicine programming (<a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.uams.edu\/liaisons\/Alice\">Alice Jaggers<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/uchc.libguides.com\/prf.php?account_id=61023\">Marissa Gauthier<\/a>), working with creators to make graphic medicine for communities (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vermontfolklifecenter.org\/elviajemascaro\/\">El viaje m\u00e1s caro\/The Most Costly Journey<\/a>\u00a0and cartoonist <a href=\"https:\/\/marekbennett.com\/\">Marek Bennett<\/a>),\u00a0best practices for creating a graphic medicine course (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcphs.edu\/about-mcphs\/mcphs-directory\/bio?id=0053638\">A.
