{"id":15601,"date":"2020-02-25T15:38:44","date_gmt":"2020-02-25T15:38:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/ner\/?p=15601"},"modified":"2020-02-25T20:34:25","modified_gmt":"2020-02-25T20:34:25","slug":"fair-use-fair-dealing-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_7\/2020\/02\/25\/fair-use-fair-dealing-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Fair Use\/Fair Dealing Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fair Use\/Fair Dealing Week runs from February 24-28, 2020.\u00a0 Fair Use\/Fair Dealing Week is an annual celebration of the important doctrines of fair use and fair dealing.\u00a0 Programs during the week highlight and promote the opportunities presented by fair use and fair dealing, celebrate successful stories, and explain the doctrines themselves.\u00a0 The ACRL website has many resources, publications, and events to help you prepare for and participate in <a href=\"http:\/\/fairuseweek.org\/\">\u00a0Fair Use\/Fair Dealing Week<\/a>, additional information can be found on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.acrl.ala.org\/acrlinsider\/archives\/18930\">ACRL Insider<\/a> website.<\/p>\n<p>The National Network of the Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) fully supports Fair Use\/Fair Dealing Week and has many resources that can be part of the programs and resources on offer this week which are accessible year-round.\u00a0 The U.S. National Library of Medicine <a href=\"https:\/\/collections.nlm.nih.gov\/\">Digital Collection<\/a> contains many digitized rare books, manuscripts, films, and images all searchable in pull down menu.\u00a0 The NLM <a href=\"https:\/\/collections.nlm.nih.gov\/?f%5Bdrep2.isMemberOfCollection%5D%5B%5D=DREPIHM\">History of Medicine<\/a> collection has access to over 70,000 images on relevant topics from the 15<sup>th<\/sup> to 21<sup>st<\/sup> century.
