In November, 2019<\/a> and February, 2020<\/a>, I wrote about NLM and NNLM resources that our public health partners often find particularly useful in their work. Since then, ongoing streamlining has moved, retired and reorganized some of the resources previously discussed in this series.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s new for our public health partners?<\/h3>\n

HealthReach<\/a> and Genetics Home Reference<\/a> have been retired as stand alone resources and the information from these resources can now be found on MedlinePlus.\u00a0 Find health information in multiple languages<\/a> and genetics information<\/a> on MedlinePlus.<\/p>\n

Community Health Maps has a new home<\/a> and is now solely run by Bird\u2019s Eye View instead of being a joint project with NLM.<\/p>\n

NLM\u2019s AIDSSource and the NIH\u2019s AIDSInfo have combined to form HIVInfo<\/a> under the NIH\u2019s Office of AIDS Research.<\/p>\n

Stay up to date on changes to NLM products and resources by subscribing to the technical bulletin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Partners in Information Access for Public Health Workforce (PHPartners)<\/a>\u00a0is committed to helping the public health workforce find and use information effectively and includes listings for trainings, conferences, internships, jobs and more. PHPartners is a collaboration of government agencies, public health organizations and health science libraries.<\/p>\n

Doing research and building searches that produce relevant results are skills that need to be learned and practiced.\u00a0 Getting the most from PubMed and other databases can be learned. \u00a0Use the PubMed Search Builder Tutorial<\/a>\u00a0to learn more.<\/p>\n
