And although some of that is based on fact, TB in the US looks different today.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/26653188\/\">first successful antibiotics against TB<\/a> were used in the 1940\u2019s with other treatment advances happening over the next decades. Historic Saranac Lake rehabilitated the building and opened it as a museum in 2009.
