Hello Region 7! My name is Catherine D’Angelo, but my friends call me Cate and I am the new Program Coordinator with R7. It’s a delight to join the Network of the National Library of Medicine and discover the ways in which my background in the arts and yoga therapies intersect with medicine and libraries.<\/p>\n

This summer I completed a Grant writing internship with Global Development Systems which opened my eyes to the world in new and fantastic ways. I’m excited to use the skills I built there, to connect with our many wonderful partners here at NNLM.\u00a0 Additionally, I completed my 500-hr Yoga Teacher Training with the Kripalu Institute in Western MA, last September. I enjoy engaging with the mind and body to foster a holistic approach to mental and physical wellness. Currently I teach in my local community and it’s a highlight of my week! I also hold a BFA in Acting from York University in Toronto and love using my background in the arts to connect with people across diverse communities and will be focusing on increasing multi-cultural and multi-lingual content across R7. I will also be collaborating with the team on processing this year’s Technology Awards! Something else I am most looking forward to is meeting and connecting with members and new folks alike, face to face, while exhibiting for NNLM!<\/p>\n

I’ll also be serving as your main membership liaison, so you’ll be hearing from me more often!<\/p>\n
