As we move into August, it’s amazing to reflect on how quickly the summer is going! While there’s still have a whole month left before fall, I thought it would be a great chance to review the books from the\u00a0 NNLM Reading Club .<\/a><\/p>\n

NNLM Reading Club Announces June Theme: Bringing Awareness to Memory and Dementia<\/strong><\/p>\n

In recognition of Alzheimer\u2019s and Brain Awareness Month<\/a> in June, the NNLM Reading Club brought awareness to Memory and Dementia featuring three new books.<\/p>\n

We interact with water in many ways, from\u00a0drinking water<\/a>,\u00a0recreational activities, to weather and water management. We are pleased to be featuring three books that align with this topic so broadly.<\/p>\n

Why We Swim<\/a>\u00a0by Bonnie Tsui<\/p>\n

Superman\u2019s Not Coming: Our National Water Crisis and What We the People Can Do About It<\/a>\u00a0by Erin Brockovich<\/p>\n

NNLM Reading Club Announces August theme:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ears and Hearing!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The chance for hearing loss increases as you age. One-third of persons ages 65 to 74 and one-half of persons aged 75 and older experience hearing loss. If you are an adult and notice a problem, get checked by an audiologist <\/a>who may recommend treatment and services to restore or assist with hearing loss.<\/p>\n
