About\u00a0<strong>1 in 8 women<\/strong>\u00a0report symptoms of <a href=\"https:\/\/womenshealth.gov\/mental-health\/mental-health-conditions\/postpartum-depression\">Postpartum Depression<\/a> in the year after giving birth. The Office on Women\u2019s Health has a variety of resources available through their program <a href=\"https:\/\/womenshealth.gov\/TalkingPPD\">Talking Postpartum Depression<\/a>. Two key resources for mental health support are <a href=\"https:\/\/988lifeline.org\/get-help\/\">988 Lifeline<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/mchb.hrsa.gov\/programs-impact\/national-maternal-mental-health-hotline\">National Maternal Mental Health Hotline<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-18519 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_7\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/03\/maternal-mental-health-hotline-240x300.png\" alt=\"Not feeling like yourself? Call or Text. 1-833-TLC-MAMA National Maternal Mental Health Hotline Free, 24 7, Confidential.\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_7\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/03\/maternal-mental-health-hotline-240x300.png 240w, https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region_7\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/03\/maternal-mental-health-hotline.png 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to these resources, a number of organizations work to support the health of mothers and babies, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/mchb.hrsa.gov\/programs-impact\/national-maternal-mental-health-hotline\">Maternal and Child Health Bureau<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/womenshealth.gov\/maternalhealth\">OASH Office on Women\u2019s Health<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marchofdimes.org\/\">March of Dimes<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrsa.gov\/maternal-health\">HRSA<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nccdphp\/divisions-offices\/about-the-division-of-reproductive-health.html\">CDC&#8217;s Division of Reproductive Health (DRH)<\/a> has developed programs to improve women&#8217;s health, improve pregnancy health and care, and give infants the healthiest start in life.
