\"RiverAs part of<\/span> our <\/span>2021-2026 Cooperative Agreement <\/span>with the National Library of Medicine, we are <\/span>conduct<\/span>ing <\/span>outreach to <\/span>rural counties. <\/span>The goal is to introduce, or re-introduce, the Network of the National Library of Medicine as a source of training <\/span>in NLM products and funding for health-related projects. Outreach allows <\/span>us<\/span> to learn about the health priorities of the communities<\/span> that we serve<\/span>, and <\/span>provides<\/span> valuable insight that we can bring back to the National Library of Medicine<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This fall, we met virtually with the Four County Library System<\/a> and the South Central Regional Library Council<\/a> in New York. <\/span><\/span>They shared observations about the health information needs in Chenango, Delaware and Otsego Counties, and helped us make connections with local libraries.<\/span> We scheduled in-person site visits for late September\/early October. We visited eight public libraries, one college<\/span> library<\/span>, and one hospital library. We also dropped <\/span>materials off<\/span> at two other public libraries.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
