Summary: Karen Marshall of the Kadamba Tree Foundation will discuss her organization’s NN/LM SE/A funded project to expand an adaptation of the Rosalyn Carter Institute for Caregiving’s “Caring for You, Caring for Me” Education and Support Program for Family and Professional Caregivers (CYCM). Researchers have found that caregivers need to obtain information about various aspects of their caregiving roles as well as experience support and linkage with other caregivers. To meet these needs, Kadamba Tree has adapted CYCM’s skill building modules to also help caregivers become effective gate keepers of quality health information for their families. Ms. Marshall will discuss the program goals and Kadamba Tree’s partnerships with local community-based health and advocacy organizations to deliver the program.
