We are pleased to announce that Christine “Christy” Anderson has been appointed as the new Executive Director for NNLM Region 2, effective March 3, 2025.
Christy brings a strong background in higher education and libraries. She previously served as the Lifelong Learning Coordinator for Coastal Carolina University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), managing various noncredit programs designed for adults over 50. Additionally, she has experience as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina-Lancaster and Palmetto College, teaching South Carolina history and culture while mentoring students.
Her professional expertise includes program management, teaching, mentoring, and community engagement, making her an excellent fit to lead NNLM Region 2. Christy holds a Master of Library and Information Studies with a concentration in Archives and Engagement from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro
a Bachelor of Arts in English from Coastal Carolina University.
