Summer Learning Opportunities

Summer is here! Sign up for one (or more!) of NNLM’s upcoming webinars. All classes are open and free to everyone. Registration is, however, required to attend. Can’t join us live? July 2026

  • Rural Health Resources on July 8 – This webinar will describe the hallmarks of rural America, identify access challenges of living in rural communities, and equip participants with tools to service the health information needs of those living in rural communities.
  • The Research Data Services Landscape: How Do You Start And Where Does Your Library Fit In? on July 28 – This course is designed as an entry point for people unfamiliar with the field of research data services in libraries. Learners will be able to describe the type of work done in data services and the subtopics found in data services.
  • Connecting Older Adults to Health Information on July 29 – This 90-minute webinar covers websites and data sources to help you respond to requests for health information from and about older adults at your library, as well as covering programming ideas

August 2026

  • Providing Mental Health Resources at Your Library on August 4 – In this 1-hour webinar, participants will explore several websites to respond to requests for mental health information at their libraries.
  • ClinicalTrials.gov for Librarians on August 20 – Learn how health sciences librarians can advocate to clinical researchers the importance of complying with the results submission requirements mandated by federal law.
  • Health Programming at Your Library on August 25 – Join us for ideas on how to create health programs for libraries and community/faith-based organizations in this 90-minute webinar
