R4 Connections: The HeART of Medicine and Positive Exposure: Telling the Story of the Humanity of Medicine Through Photography and Art

Posted by on June 3rd, 2026 Posted in: Webinars and Courses

Join us for our next R4 Connections webinar coming up in July! Discover how libraries are transcending traditional roles to become dynamic hubs for community dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration. Our guest speaker, Vida Vaughn, will share the innovative exhibits and programming at her library, including Change How You See, See How You Change.

  • Date and Time: Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. MT
  • Session Length: 60 minutes
  • Guest Speakers: Vida Vaughn, University of Louisville
  • Description: This presentation will highlight how academic and health system libraries can serve as catalysts for interdisciplinary partnerships, need-based programming, and community dialogue. Attendees will gain insights into how these exhibits were developed, how they foster empathy and a sense of belonging, and how similar initiatives can be adapted for libraries of all types to bridge science, art, and the human experience.

This session is free and open to all. However, registration is required to attend. Note: You must be an NNLM member to register (it’s free!). Can’t join us live? Register anyway to receive the recording after the event.
