Note: The “Apply Online” button will be active on the postings beginning Thursday, May 28, through Monday, June 1, 2026.
NLM is hiring Technical Information Specialists (GS 9-12). Several positions ranging from reference and access services, archival processing, conservation management and electronic resource management to reviewing and evaluating incoming content, applying authoritative terminology and metadata standards, and transforming data sets from varied coding schemes into standardized formats usable by researchers, clinicians, the public, and automated systems to driving the digitization of centuries of biomedical literature, knowledge, and data, bringing foundational scientific information into the 21st-century research ecosystem to accelerate discovery, innovation, and human health outcomes. These positions are in all three branches of the User Services and Collection Division.
Any questions about the positions should be directed to Douglas Bruno at brunoda2@mail.nih.gov.
