Library staff have two exciting learning opportunities available from NNLM coming up at the Wyoming Library Association Conference Aug. 7-9.
The conference taking place in Cheyenne includes a four-hour pre-conference titled Beyond an Apple a Day: Providing Consumer Health Information at Your Library on Aug. 7 and a 50-minute conference session on Citizen Science: Putting Your Patrons In Touch With Discovery session.
Beyond an Apple a Day is eligible for credit toward a Consumer Health Information Specialization awarded by the Medical Library Association.

Citizen Science: Putting Your Patrons In Touch With Discovery
When: Thursday, August 8 at 9:30 am-10:20 am
Presenter: George Strawley, All of Us Community Engagement Coordinator.
In this session, participants can expect to learn about the following:
Citizen science library programs are perfect for all ages, and all types of libraries. Nor prior scientific knowledge is required, simply a willingness to participate.
