MyBibliography to Replace eRA Commons for Bibliography Management

MyBibliography, a feature of MyNCBI, was designed to allow PubMed users to maintain lists of articles they have authored. MyBibliography now includes an Awards view, which is a color-coded interface allowing authors (or their designated proxies) to track and manage their articles’ compliance with the NIH Public Access Policy. MyBibliography draws information from PubMed, PubMed Central, and the NIH Manuscript Submission (NIHMS) system.

MyBibliography is replacing eRA Commons as the mechanism for NIH-funded authors to maintain their publication lists. eRA Commons will not accept any new citations after July 23, 2010. eRA Commons users should establish MyNCBI accounts, then link those accounts to eRA Commons in order to transfer the citations. Detailed instructions are on how to do this are provided on the eRA Commons homepage.

For more information, please refer to this Notice from the National Institutes of Health, a recorded NLM Theater presentation from last month’s MLA meeting.
