The traveling exhibit Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Academic Surgeons and a corresponding exhibit “Firsts in the History of African American Physicians and Surgeons” will be on display at the University of Washington Health Sciences Library from August 1 to September 26, 2008. Opening Doors was developed and produced by the National Library of Medicine and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture.
