New Distance Learning Opportunity: Podcasting for Advocacy

Posted by on June 1st, 2009 Posted in: Technology, Training & Education

Maryanne Blake and Alison Aldrich are teaming up to offer a new distance learning opportunity for network members. Podcasting for Advocacy is a hands-on class is designed to provide a fun yet informative introduction to podcasting. Hear all about it!

Please RSVP for this class so we can send you information about how to access the webcasts. Then mark the following dates on your calendars:

Thursday, June 18, 1pm Pacific Time: We will discuss how libraries, community-based organizations, hospitals, journal publishers, and other groups are using podcasts. You will learn how to find and recommend podcasts your users will appreciate and find useful. We will also discuss how to craft messages that work well in the podcast medium.

Thursday, June 25, 1pm Pacific Time: We will cover the nuts and bolts of how to record, edit, upload, and promote a podcast of your very own.

If you attend both of the webcast sessions, create a podcast, and share the link with us by July 9, you will be eligible for three hours of MLA continuing education credit.
