NNLM provides funding for projects across the Region through a competitive process but what happens next? How are proposals reviewed and what criteria is used?
In Region 7, proposals are reviewed by NNLM staff and external reviewers. External reviewers are NNLM members who represent the Region from libraries (academic, academic medical, public, community college, and hospital), community-based organizations, and academics. Reviewers are trained on the standardized scorecard used to evaluate proposals. Each proposal is reviewed by a minimum of three external reviewers and results are compiled.
Region 7 would like to extend appreciation to our external reviewers for their contributions to the funding process.
