Solo hospital librarians met on Thu, May 23 to debrief the Medical Library Annual Meeting. Seven librarians shared their takeaways from attending the conference in-person. One librarian presented his poster for the group. Others shared links to related resources. I shared my experiences with virtual attendance.
Here are some of the presentations that were discussed:
This is just a sample of what we discussed, and a fraction of what was offered at MLA. This meeting was a great opportunity for librarians who could not afford to attend the conference (in-person or virtually) to hear from their colleagues about sessions relevant to the work of solo hospital librarians.
At the end of the Solo Chat, those who act as editors for the Journal of Hospital Librarianship put out a call for submissions. Check out the end of the recording for those calls.
