Discovering Library Science & Health Literacy: A High School Push-in Program

Today’s blog is a guest spot by partners at Weill Cornell’s Samuel J. Wood Library. On June 18, our partners will be presenting on a curriculum designed to introduce high school students to the field of library science while equipping them with essential health literacy skills.

Why Attend?

Raising awareness among young people about the opportunities within library science is crucial for attracting future talent. This one-hour session is tailored for teachers, librarians, educators, and anyone working with high school students. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of a curriculum that not only educates students about the library science profession but also empowers them with foundational health literacy skills.
