Join us on September 29 for a webinar exploring how visual arts can support continuing education and resilience among nurses.
This webinar will highlight the innovative project, A Resilience-Building Interprofessional Partnership in an Academic Health System: Museums, Libraries and Nurses Working Together, funded by the NNLM during 2023-2024.
During this one-hour webinar, colleagues from NYU Langone Health, the NYU Health Sciences Library and the Department of Nursing Science and Innovation, will discuss their collaboration in developing a professional development program for nurses in partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Presenters will share the project’s methods, key findings, and outcomes, as well as lessons learned from building a successful collaboration across departments and institutions.
CNE and MLA continuing education credit will be available.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe the methodology used in a study to examine the impact of museum-based training for nurses.
- Identify the key findings and outcomes of the project.
- Explain how museum-based learning can support observation, reflection, and clinical reasoning in nursing practice.
- Identify cultural and museum learning opportunities for personal and team growth.
- Apply techniques of reflection and observation to daily nursing practice and communication.
