Sharing research data is an important step towards making research reproducible. Accordingly, many grant funders and publishers have been requiring that researchers take steps to share their data. But with dozens of repositories available across disciplines, it can be difficult for researchers to find one that meets their needs.

This is where the NNLM Data Repository Finder can be helpful: it is meant to help locate NIH-supported repositories for sharing research data.

You can find data sharing resources by answering a few questions about your research needs, including data types, research topics, and accessibility requirements. After answering those questions, you can choose from the highlighted items that meet your needs, generating a comparison table that shows details about each resource’s characteristics.

The NNLM Data Repository Finder should help researchers with the crucial task of finding an appropriate repository for their work. If you have any feedback or suggestions for this tool, please let us know at ncds@nnlm.gov.
